I lost my son on April 13, 2007.  He shot himself and his 10 year old sister found him.  We had no warning signs.  He and his girlfriend decided to be just friends the evening before.  I am so sorry for your loss and my heart aches for and with you.  Close

My soul penetrates the pain, thinking of him, but nothing is the same. His mystical body flies away and awaits for when I can see him again. A temporary gift he came to us we had to give him up, because the Creator said we must. For he already endured too much, but hundreds Nicholas seem to touch. His memory now drifts in the wind, never to be forgotten. I will see you again.

Dear Nick---This is our first major holiday since you passed away----I didn't count Easter, since we were all still in shock back then, and could barely think straight.
Jake & Sara went out to visit you yesterday, and your baby sisters, Roger, & I will be going out later on today to place a beautiful wreath by your memorial bench.
I remember you eating a turkey leg on Thanksgivings past as though you were a 'caveman'---and that made me laugh!

I am so sorry Britt! I know it is hard and as days pass it doesn't seem to get much easier. You and I both know that when this happens, NOTHING can be done---no one is at fault for Nick's passing. Things like this happen and we always wonder what we could have said or done, but it doesn't matter to that person. They are already in their own world. The picture of Nick and Kaysa shows just how kind hearted he was and how many brothers can you say did that for their sisters? It is just sad that your little girls could not grow up with their brother, and that Jake lost his "life-long friend". I hope things get better with Deven as well---GOD works in mysterious ways...you are a good person---good things will happen for you! I am always here if needed...
